What I found on the other side of the door defied all my expectations. The room I had walked into was neither a cold, dark, prehistoric dungeon, nor was it another cryptic corridor laden with works of ancient cultures. Instead, I was now standing inside a room that seemed to have come straight out of a home catalogue, complete with modern furniture and furnishing, illuminated so brightly that it might as well have been located above ground. The marble floor was so spotless that I could make out my own reflection. The air in the room felt stifling, to the point of it making me physically uncomfortable.
